Fall Reading Week pilot to begin in 2019

Fall Break is getting an upgrade next year to Fall Reading Week.

Last week Senate approved a three-year pilot of a four-day break following Thanksgiving Monday, effectively giving students an entire week off in the fall academic term. The pilot is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2019.

Most Innovative University, 27 Years Running

University of Waterloo being the most innovative university of 27 years

The University of Waterloo is Canada's most innovative university, according to a reputation survey from Maclean's magazine. 

Maclean's annual ranking of Canadian universities, released yesterday, also named Waterloo 2nd place in the 'best overall' and 'leaders of tomorrow' repetitional categories, after the University of Toronto.
