In recognition of the growing awareness and recognition of mental health challenges faced in society, it is also important to have a better awareness and understanding of various aspects of how potential conflict situations with people on the spectrum of mental health are managed. This workshop will address such questions as, “How does mental health impact how we approach conflict?” and “What are strategies and tools that we can deploy to assist us and those with mental health in conflict situations?

This one day workshop is designed to complement Basic Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), content created and offered by the Mental Health Commission of Canada. Completion of MHFA is recommended but not required in order to attend the Mental Health and Conflict workshop.
