New students in the classroom

This week, Conrad welcomes the new Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) full-time class to UWaterloo. The MBET program begins with Ignition Week, a high-energy orientation which lays the foundation for a transformative year.

Sponsored by Gowling WLG, Ignition Week includes team-building activities, tours of local entrepreneurial hotspots such as Velocity, Communitech, and the Accelerator Centre, and a backyard barbecue with Conrad faculty and staff. The week concludes with an innovation challenge in which students team up and develop venture ideas to address a global issue identified by Conrad faculty. This week of activities sets the stage for  a collaborative and ambitious class atmosphere for the rest of the year.
