Your five favourite blogs of 2015

Mavis Chan, the author of this year's top blog

Over the course of the year, Conrad students wear many hats: founder, salesperson, marketer, leader, designer, and boss to name a few.

Some also take on the title of Conrad blogger, contributing their unique perspectives on the entrepreneurial journey through our blog. The Conrad blog is where students tell their stories in their own words and share some of the diverse experiences encompassed within the Conrad Centre's mission of entrepreneurship education for all students.

Hello 2014! If 2013 was any indication of what Conrad students can accomplish in one year, than 2014 is sure to be filled with successes, travel stories, pitch competitions, new startups, funding achievements, events, and so much more!

Student blog:expect the unexpected

Life is filled with unexpected events! During the first week of class, we were told that “50% of life is about showing up” and I have kept that advice in my subconscious ever since.

Let me be the first to admit, as an impoverished student and budding entrepreneur, I “sometimes” (read: always) seek ways to reduce expenditures. Okay, as painful embarrassing as it is for me to admit, “sometimes” may be an understatement. Frugality is encoded in my DNA.
