The Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre is excited to be presenting an Innovation Challenge at the Eastern Canada Student Energy Conference (ECSEC), hosted by UWaterloo Society for Petroleum Engineers.
The Innovation Challenge provides an opportunity for students to get out of their comfort zone, work together, and apply their knowledge to develop real solutions to problems facing the oil and gas industry today.
At the end of the challenge, students will pitch their ideas for the opportunity to win cash prizes and mentorship.
The Innovation Challenge will be presented by David Rose, associate director of Conrad's Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology program. Prior to joining the Conrad Centre, David was a lecturer at the Laurier School of Business and Economics and also spent 20 years in marketing and management positions primarily in the petroleum industry.
The Eastern Canada Student Energy Conference (ECSEC) is an annual event hosted by the University of Waterloo Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Student Chapter. Students from a number of universities in Eastern Canada gather and get acquainted to the complexities, challenges, and realities of the oil and gas industry. They are also presented with a great opportunity to build their network and foster their passion for the industry.
