Friday, November 4, 2016 — 4:30 PM EDT to Sunday, November 6, 2016 — 6:00 PM EST

The Conrad Centre is pleased to participate in Hack4Health, a hackathon to benefit those living with neurological conditions.

The three-day event, hosted by the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences and the Murray Alzheimer Research and Education Program (MAREP) at the University of Waterloo, will provide an exciting space for the creation of practical applications (software, hardware, and social solutions) for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) or dementia (Alzheimer's disease or other dementias).

The Conrad Centre is sponsoring the event, providing prizes, encouragement, and mentorship to participants. Conrad faculty members will also host a pitching panel on Saturday November 5 at 6:00 p.m. The panel will help student team finalists to refine and practice their pitch before facing the judges.

About Hack4Health

Hack4Health is a non-traditional, continuous day/night/day hackathon aimed at social impact rather than profit motivation.

The application(s) that emerge from this productive three-day event will benefit people affected by and/or living with Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, enhance the profile of both conditions, inspire cutting-edge research at the University of Waterloo, and provide an invaluable platform for social innovation.

If you are a computer programmer, software or hardware developer, graphic designer, project manager, social innovator, or entrepreneur who is interested in collaborating in an effort to create new and accessible technology, register here!
