UWaterloo Entrepreneurship Society and Startup Laurier will be hosting Conrad professor Nada Basir for a Startup Chat on December 1, 2015. Professor Basir will share her personal story of success, failure, and what it means to be entrepreneurial both inside and outside of academia.
Students from both UWaterloo and Laurier are invited to attend the event and expand their network (free pizza included)!
About Nada Basir
Nada Basir teaches social entrepreneurship at the undergraduate level in BET 420 and in the Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology program at the Conrad Centre.
She holds a PhD in Strategic Management and Policy from the Schulich School of Business.
Nada is a versatile entrepreneur with experience in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. She is a founding team member and senior advisor at Location Genius, a big data analytics startup. Previously, Nada was a co-founder of the Canadian Libyan Council, an organization that sought to raise awareness about the Libyan revolution and foster political and social connections between Canada and Libya. Nada also has experience in strategy, marketing, and product development, specifically as it relates to the pharmaceutical industry.
