WATERLOO, Ont. (September 10, 2012)– Recipients of the E-Launch Scholarships have been selected as the University of Waterloo’s Enterprise Co-op (E Co-op) program kick starts the fall term.
With five $4,000 scholarships up for grabs, 18 students presented business ideas to an esteemed panel. The judges had a difficult challenge selecting from among the 16 businesses pitched. The winners were announced on Friday, September 7 with the judges agreeing on 5 clear winners:
Like any startup, we’ve had our share of trials and tribulations, but with great students, a committed Advisory Council, generous funding from donors, a highly supportive Dean of Engineering, new programs and initiatives that promise a bright future, and most importantly, alumni who are not only successful but who are also making contributions to society, Conrad has emerged as an unqualified success. THIS SUCCESS NEEDS TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED AND CELEBRATED!
