Happy holidays from the Conrad Centre! Thank you for journeying with us through another wonderful year of studying, sharing, and living business, entrepreneurship, and technology.
We have had another tremendous year filled with student accomplishments, grand achievements from alumni, and a team at Conrad that is growing and creating powerful programming for entrepreneurs.
Each term, the Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre invites Enterprise Co-op students to develop a 90-second video displaying the products or services they have developed during their E Co-op term.
Two students have been awarded $1,000 each for their submissions. Check out their videos below!
On Friday, November 27, a group of Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) students pitched their solution for the Hult Prize challenge at the Hult Prize@ UWaterloo event, successfully qualifying for the Regional Finals in March.
Last week, the Waterloo Region Record published Technology Spotlight 2015, their annual showcase of the individuals and companies making a mark in the local tech ecosystem.
The publication tells the stories of some of the 1000-plus tech-based startups that make the Waterloo region an internationally-renowned hotspot for entrepreneurial activity.
This year's issue featured many Conrad alumni, including:
An autonomous machine for landmine diffusion, a screen technology that makes phones easier to read in sunlight, and a mental health reporting system for police and hospital staff.
