Waterloo Hult Teams have travelled to Quito, Melbourne and Toronto to compete in Hult Prize 2018 Regional competitions. Here’s a quick update, from the teams themselves (in their own words), on how they did, and what’s next.

On May 17th, the Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology Centre welcomed His Excellency, the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, to speak with students in the Master of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology (MBET) program.
On Saturday, November 22, a team of Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) students took the stage at Communitech to pitch in the Manulife Smart Tech Challenge, a competition in which Ontario post-secondary students were challenged to use technology to improve the financial services industry. The MBET team's entry, 'Moola', won second place overall.
The commercialization practicum is one of the defining components of the Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) program. The eight-month practicum allows students to apply classroom knowledge to real businesses, immersing them into the world of entrepreneurship. It is once again that time of year when MBET candidates select the businesses to which they will contribute over the coming months.
In July, five students from the Master of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) Class of 2014 travelled to Finland and participated in the 2014 LUT Summer School program. Hussam Ayyad, Charles Olagunju, Shanae Vander Togt, Tyler Iorio, and Alessandro Segala each took classes related to business or technology to compliment and build upon their MBET education.
