Emily Peat wins Nicol Entrepreneurship Award
Emily Peat, owner of EcoPlace Organics (who is a former BET 300 student, former E Co-op student, and currently a Civil Engineering student at UWaterloo) took home the top prize last night (March 26th) at the Nicol Entrepreneurial Awards held in Ottawa!
A national competition, Emily represented the University of Waterloo after being selected in an on campus competition held in February at the Conrad Centre. This is the first time in over five years that the University of Waterloo has taken the top prize at the awards (our last win was in 2007).
Eco Place Organics is a local organic food delivery service. Find out more at the Eco Place Organics website.
Emily was also recently a finalist at the National Business and Technology Conference on March 8th and took home $20K at the Ontario Centres of Excellence Social Enterprise Student Competition held on March 21st.
Congratulations on all your richly deserved accomplishments, Emily! As always, you've made everyone at Conrad so proud!
