Janet Boekhorst, Assistant Professor
Prior to joining the Conrad School, Janet was an Adjunct Professor at York University. During her tenure there, Janet received two awards: Best PhD Dissertation as awarded by the Human Resources Research Institute (HRRI) and Gallup’s Rising Star Award. She has publications in journals such as the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology and The International Journal of Human Resource Management.
Janet’s doctoral education is in Human Resource Management from York University. She holds a Master of Industrial Relations from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph. Her current research focuses on strategic high-performance work systems, entrepreneurship, workplace diversity and inclusion, and employee well-being.

In her new role, she will teach BET 340 - Essentials of Entrepreneurial Planning and Execution and BET 450 – Leadership.
Chris Holt, Lecturer
Prior to joining the Conrad School, Chris was a successful entrepreneur with several ventures under his belt. His website, AllAboutAlpha.com, ranked as one of the top 50 most-read finance blogs in 2007 and ranked as one of the top 10 “Best Blogs for Institutional Investors” by Pensions & Investments Magazine in 2008.
Chris’ doctoral education is in Entrepreneurial Identity Construction in Undergraduate Students from the University of Toronto. He holds an MBA from Duke University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University. Chris’ research will help Conrad develop and increase its current undergraduate program offerings.
