One or more awards, valued at up to $5,000 each, will be provided each term to full-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a Computer Science program and undertaking a one-term or two-term CS Capstone team project or a one-term eCapstone team project.
Program
A scholarship valued at $20,000, will be awarded annually to a female graduate student who is registered full-time in a Master's or Doctoral program in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Management Sciences, or Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering program wherein women are underrepresented.
One Award, valued at up to $4,500, will be provided annually to a full-time graduate student enrolled in any program in the Faculty of Mathematics.
Up to one Faculty of Health Teaching Assistant Award valued at $500 will be offered in each of the School of Public Health Sciences, Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences, and Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies per term.
ACM established the ACM Doctoral Dissertation Award program to recognize and encourage superior research and writing by doctoral candidates in computer science and engineering.
A scholarship, valued at $1,500, will be awarded annually to a full-time graduate student enrolled in the master’s program in the School of Architecture in the Faculty of Engineering.
Scholarships valued at up to $15,000, will be awarded annually to full-time graduate student(s) enrolled in the master’s or doctoral program in the School of Pharmacy in the Faculty of Science.
Fellowships valued at $37,500 per year for a maximum of two years, will be awarded annually to graduate students registered full-time in their second or third year of their doctoral program in the School of Computer Science.
Awards, valued at up to $2,500, will be provided annually to full-time undergraduate or graduate students in the Department of Classical Studies.
A scholarship valued at $1,500 will be awarded annually to a graduate student registered full-time in a research-based Master’s or PhD program in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
