This week at GEOCafe

We will have an introductory presentation by Rebecca Stirling, followed by a presentation by Evan Wilcox (Laurier) on his snowmelt research in the  Arctic.

Finally, Dr. Chris Yakymchuk will lead a discussion on a recent Nature paper: Early trace of life from 3.95 Ga sedimentary rocks in Labrador, Canada. Be sure to give it a read before Friday.

About GEOCafe

GEOCafe is a bi-weekly meeting where graduate students, mainly with research based in the earth sciences, present their research as practice for upcoming conferences, or present interesting findings they have come across through their research, travels, or other experiences.

Occasionally, we discuss important/controversial publications relating to the earth sciences.
