Our undergraduate students are learning by actively participating in the classrooms, lab, field trips and co-operative education provided through the Earth and Environmental Sciences department.
Our graduates have gone on to distinguished careers as exploration geologists, groundwater specialists, environmental geochemists, consultants, and teachers.

- The Advanced Standing Dual Credit in Earth and Space Sciences offers high school students in the Waterloo Regional District Schools an opportunity to get university credit in the geosciences recognized by universities in Ontario.
- Our BSc degree programs in Earth Sciences and Environemental Science meet Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) academic requirements to obtain the Professional Geoscientist designation.
- 90% of our co-op students in the environmental and geosciences receive job placements.
