PhD student Bingjie Shi wins Best Poster at AGU Fall Meeting

Bingjie Shi​Bingjie Shi, a PhD student with Professors Lingling Wu and CERC Philippe Van Cappellen, was awarded an outstanding student paper award for her poster presentation at the 2015 American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting in December (Dec 14-18, San Francisco).

Her poster, entitled "Importance of tetrahedral iron during microbial reduction of clay mineral NAu-2", presented research on how the structure of clays can impact the fractionation of iron isotopes during redox transformations mediated by microorganisms.

The AGU Fall Meeting attracts 24,000 participants annually, making it the largest Earth and space sciences meeting in the world.
