Explore and marvel at the rocks, minerals, fossils and jewelry on display from local dealers. There are free hands on activities for children and complimentary gem identification by the Canadian Gemological Association. The Earth Sciences Museum will have minerals on display as well as a fossil fish dig for all ages.
Join Peter Russell, former curator of the Earth Sciences Museum, for our Jane's Walk, “Rock Around Kitchener” and explore Kitchener’s geological history as displayed in its buildings and other stonework.
