Data Management Day: Invitation, Registration Information, and Call for Posters
The Farvolden Lecture Series, hosted by the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Waterloo, was initiated in 1996 as an annual celebration in honour of Dr. Robert N. Farvolden. The Lecture Series fosters interaction and communication between the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, the alumni of the hydrogeology program and the groundwater community at large.

The Murray-Darling River Basin (MDB) is Australia's most economically
and culturally significant river system. In 2007 a new Water Act
was introduced that was seen by many to be the harbinger of a Commonwealth-led basin-saving era. In this presentation I will use recent
research from the Systemic Governance Research Program based
within the Monash Sustainability Institute to explore why the hopes
