Building Shutdown this August

The Environment 1 building will be shutdown for a major electrical upgrade next month. The lab assistants  can be found working in EV2-2021 and in the naturalized gardens from August 7-17. There will be no access to lab facilities and related equipment, nor field equipment during this time. Please plan for field and lab work accordingly. We can work with you to gather equipment in advance of this shutdown. 

Bev and Anne will be working remotely and can be accessed via email.

Summer Student Positions at Crowe Valley CA

Crowe Valley Conservation Authority in Marmora is hiring two students for the benthic monitoring program this year. The job posting is attached. The deadline to apply is **April 13th**. Students who really know the OBBN protocol well and can work with very minimal to no supervision is ideal.

Hiring Waterfowl Research Technicians

 The University of Waterloo Wildlife and Molecular Ecology Lab’s Western Boreal Forest Waterfowl Nest Predator Project is seeking up to 5 highly motivated waterfowl research technicians to assist with nest searching and monitoring in the western boreal forest of Canada. The overall goal of this project is to understand how industrial development influences waterfowl nest success. The study area is located north of Slave Lake, Alberta.
