Definite-Term Lecturer, Marketing, Department of Economics

The Department of Economics in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo is seeking a Definite-Term Lecturer for a three-year contract with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2022.

This position in the Department of Economics (https://uwaterloo.ca/economics/) supports the Arts and Business program (https://uwaterloo.ca/arts/undergraduate/programs/honours-arts-and-business) of the Faculty of Arts. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of educators within the department and across the Faculty. Duties of the position are 80% teaching and 20% service. Teaching duties include the delivery of existing undergraduate marketing courses and continued professional development in pedagogy. Service duties include participation in the development and refinement of courses and program curriculum, and service to the university, profession, and community.

A graduate degree in marketing or in a closely related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates with marketing experience and/or evidence of successful teaching in marketing or business-related courses.

The salary range for this position at the rank of Lecturer is $80,000 to $120,000. Negotiations beyond this salary range will be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.
