Lingzhi is part of the Economics 2+2 program, where he completed his first two years of study at Xiamen University in China, and then completed a further two years of study at UWaterloo.

His dedication to his studies and outstanding academic achievement have been consistently demonstrated during his time in the Faculty of Arts and the Department of Economics.

Lingzhi Han leads his cohort of Economics 2+2 students at UWaterloo. He was accepted into the top graduate programs in Canada. He combines truly exceptional academic skills and the ability to work successfully with others, and I am confident he will have a stellar career in finance. Stay tuned and remember his name.

- John Burbidge, Economics Professor and Academic Advisor

Lingzhi is proud of his achievement and thankful for the learning opportunities from the 2+2 program:

The 2+2 program offers a great opportunity to experience two different styles of higher education within four years of undergraduate study. At the University of Waterloo, students can always find great support for their academic study and  future career. During these two years in the Economics 2+2 program, students will develop their knowledge of Economics and mathematical skills, which makes them strong competitors in the international job market.

Lingzhi is receiving the award at convocation on June 10. Beginning Fall 2015, he will pursue a Masters in Quantitative Finance at UWaterloo.
