Research interests

I am particularly interested in how political regimes can influence the development path of countries and believe the dynamics of this relationship warrants closer examination. I also believe that economic research has practical implications and as such should be utilized in the formulation of public policy.

Work experience

Prior to starting the PhD program I worked at the Central Bank of Jamaica and this experience initiated my interest in the areas of macroeconomics and the theory of growth and development.
