Professor Goldthorpe joined the ECE department in January 2011 as an Assistant Professor. She was most recently a postdoctoral scientist at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY where she developed materials for LEDs and phosphors. Irene received her graduate degrees from Stanford University. Her thesis studied the synthesis and material properties of semiconductor nanowires.
