Welcome to the 1st annual EngCon event!

EngCon is the Waterloo Engineering design project convention for all things design project.

The goal of EngCon is to help Engineering undergraduate students create better design projects by bringing you together with speakers, workshops, resources, suppliers, and other opportunities in one place. The event is aimed at 3rd- and 4th-year Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering undergraduate students, but all Waterloo Engineering students are welcome.

Friday, July 14, 2017 — 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM EDT

Engineering Design Days

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has embraced the IDEAS Clinic philosophy in its “ECE Design Days,” a two-day event where 1B ECE students complete open-ended design tasks. Students complete four linked activities that span the ECE spectrum: Hardware, embedded, software, and robotics. Students get hands-on design experience in an open, formative environment where failure is okay and creativity is rewarded, all while integrating knowledge from across their curriculum.
