After School Clubs

After School Club is a co-ed program run on campus at University of Waterloo that is designed to give students in Grades 4 - 7 an eight week dive into the world of engineering and technology! They'll be with the same peer group and will explore different facets of STEM together.

Breadboard circuitThe goal is for students to experiment with technology at their own pace and apply new skills to fun, STEM-related challenges.

This program is unique in that progress is pushed along by each students' interest and curiosity.  We provide the resources and some starting information and they provide the creativity.

There will be a couple of activities throughout this exciting 8 week program. The program will focus on using various Lego kits that let students design and play with fun software and easy prototyping.

Senior Club

The major focus of this club will be around the ideal of sustainability as it connects to STEM fields and applications. It's a program that will be run in partnership with the UW Sustainability Office. Students will get a behind-the-scenes look at different labs and energy facilities on campus, participate in design challenges, and understand our carbon footprint when looking at things like the food we eat, the clothes we wear, and things we use on a daily basis. Sustainability is a big part of engineering the future!
