Engineering Science Quest's March Break offers week-long, online programs held the week of March 14 - 18th, 2022.
Programs run Monday to Friday with start and end times detailed below.
Our programming is developed by University students each term, so that it will be new and engaging each session!
Each program will offer a variety of fun and educational activities that cover a whole range of engineering and science concepts daily.
Registration opens Wednesday, February 16th at noon.

2022 Programs
All camps are 5-day programs running from March 14th - 18th, 2022.
Virtual: The program will run virtual-only activities and daily sessions will run through a Zoom call.
Kit-Based: The program will run hands-on activities mailed to you in a kit. Daily sessions will run through a Zoom call.
Grade ranges are based on the grade the camper is currently attending. We are unable to make exceptions for requests to register outside of a camper's grade range.

Grade 2-3 - Camp Extravaganza! - (12:30 - 2:30pm EST)
Kit-Based; $75
A smorgasbord of STEM awaits you in this camp! In these activities, you will become a plastic pan flute piper, make pulleys for pom-poms, code a rock paper scissors game, wonder at weather pressure - just to name a few!
Grade 3-4 - Magic Camp (9:30 - 11:30am EST)
Kit-Based; $75
Look, no hands! Create some electrifying illusions in this STEM-based magic camp. You'll try your (sleight of) hand at levitating with static, creating a magic air blaster, creating a colourful chemistry lava lamp,and more. You'll even get the chance to learn some math based card magic from a professional magician!
Grade 5-6 - It's All Fun and Games - (3:00 - 5:00pm EST)
Virtual; $49
Minecraft, modelling, and mad libs. Oh my! You'll have the chance to experiment using block coding, Python, 3D modelling and (last but not least) Minecraft! You will create mad libs-style stories in Python, 3D model your own virtual avatar, use block coding to journey through Minecraft and create games in Scratch.
Grade 6-8 - Oceanic Escapade (3:00 - 5:00pm EST)

Sail the seas of STEM! You will dive into machine learning algorithms, surf a web page of your own design, float your questions to an AI helper your code in Python, be your shell-f by programming graphic designs for seashells, and 3D model a submarine that is totally nautical!
Grade 8-10 - STRANDED (9:30 - 11:30am EST)
Kit-Based; $95
You're stranded on an island! In this camp, start with STEM and you're sure to survive your stranded situation. Create water-powered fans; code, build, and wire a light system; filter water; build alarm systems and engineer your way off of the island!
