Summer Camps

Camp playing outdoor game

2013 Actua Award for Leadership and Innovation

Each summer, Engineering Science Quest offers summer day camp programming for children entering grades 1 to 9. Our camp participants explore the world of science, engineering and technology through participation in hands-on projects. Each year, our staff of engineering, science and education university students develop exciting new activities for their camp that explore:

  • physics
  • chemistry
  • biology and health science
  • civil engineering
  • mechanical engineering
  • electrical and computer engineering

All our university level staff have received first-aid training within the past two years, and are screened via vulnerable sector police checks and an interview process.

We run the majority of our programming at the University of Waterloo campus. We also have three teams of staff that travel to locations in south-western Ontario to offer camps in communities that have a Waterloo satellite campus, or are too far to commute to Waterloo. The price of our programs range from $190 to $275 depending on location and subject matter. All registration fees include the cost of materials and a camp shirt to be worn daily. Additional camp shirts and hats are available for purchase at an extra cost.

ESQ does not operate on the August Civic holiday. All camp fees are adjusted to take in account the missing day.

Discounts and bursaries are available for our camps. More information can be found on our registration page.
