Chemical Engineering 2021

Introduce yourself briefly:

My name is Meggin and I am in Chemical Engineering, class of 2021!

Meggin Crisp

Waterloo Engineering in one word:

Community.

I choose Waterloo Engineering because:

To me I learn best by doing so the hands-on co-op experience really spoke to me.

The best thing about my program is:

How diverse the applications are and how much it can be integrated with other disciplines.

About my Co-op experience:

I have worked at companies such as Frito-Lay, Pepsico Beverages and Mondelez in a wide range of roles including production and project engineering.

I wish I had known before I came:

How great it is to have smaller class sizes for my core courses. I had never given it too much thought before choosing Waterloo.

Outside the classroom, I’m involved with:

Engineering Ambassadors, Intramural Sports and I work part time at Davids Tea.

A fun project I’ve completed:

Last term I worked in a group to optimize a polymer injection molding process.

One more thing about me:

I grew up in Victoria BC and am always happy to share my experience with transitioning as an out-of-province student.
