My name is Claudia and I am in 2A Management Engineering. I really enjoy being active and getting involved around campus with St.Jeromes, EngSoc, UW Varsity programs and research.

Waterloo Engineering in one word:
Engaging
I choose Waterloo Engineering because:
The coop is an invaluable way of figuring out what you want, and don't want, to do as a career.
The best thing about my program is:
The variety of topics we learn about. Between industrial engineering topics, optimization and HCI, we learn about so many new and interesting things every term.
About my Co-op experience:
I have worked as a QA intern, looking at how we make sure websites are functioning to proper specifications. I did this at a large company, so learning about governance of data, and processes was an invaluable skill.
I wish I had known before I came:
Don't be afraid to ask the questions you want answered and look outside of Engineering to find opportunities for yourself.
Outside the classroom, I’m involved with:
Athletics as a varsity team member, campus ministry, EngSoc, UWaterloo IISE and Waterloo Ready peer mentorship. I also help with orientation as a leader.
One more thing about me:
I am very interested in research and am working in a lab during my school term this Fall.
