I choose Waterloo Engineering because:
I knew I would be receiving a great education while gaining extremely valuable work experience.
The best thing about my program is:
Being able to combine the knowledge you receive from this interdisciplinary program and applying it outside of the classroom in design teams or in personal projects.
About my Co-op experience:
I’m completing my first co-op as a DevOps Software Developer at Imagine Communications. Most of my time is spent writing code to strengthen the company’s services. I am enjoying it a lot, each day I learn something new and the atmosphere at the company is awesome!
I wish I had known before I came:
TAs, professors, and upper years in general are so willing to help you out. Don’t be afraid to ask questions!
Outside the classroom, I’m involved with:
UW Rocketry, UW Orbital, & Engineering Ambassadors!
A fun project I’ve completed:
Last year I programmed a game using Lua that helped me remember important on-road procedures and become a safer driver.
One more thing about me:
I’m a huge Taylor Swift fan!! :)
