We are the largest engineering school in Canada, with over 10,100 students enrolled in 2018. In 2017/18, external research funding from Canadian and international partners exceeded $72.4 million, a strong indication of our extensive industry partnerships and the excellence of our engineering research programs.

    Two Waterloo Engineering faculty members and an alumnus have been inducted into the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE).

    Five researchers at Waterloo Engineering have had Canada Research Chairs for world-class scientists and scholars awarded or renewed by the federal government through the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC).

  3. June 12, 2019Engineering wins gold for E7 opening and campaign close

    Waterloo Engineering is the winner of a prestigious gold award from the international Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) for its Engineering 7 official opening and campaign close event held last October.

    The gold Circle of Excellence award was captured in CASE's  Special Events|Single-Day Events category.

    Since the last fundraiser was so successful, EWB has partnered again with Krispy Kreme to have another fundraiser to raise money for social enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa to help reduce poverty.
