Alex Solomon is a passionate product visionary focused on expanding and evolving the company's product strategy and direction, as well as building and growing the PagerDuty community of practitioners.

Alex started PagerDuty in 2009 as founding CEO. He led the company through the first several stages of growth, from inception, product-market fit, multiple rounds of fundraising, building out the core functions of the company, and expansion of the product vision. After growing the company to 200 employees and $50 million in annual recurring revenue, Alex hired Jennifer Tejada as CEO, and took on the role of CTO.

Prior to PagerDuty, Alex was a software engineer at Amazon, where he built and maintained large-scale systems to help Amazon’s supply chain run efficiently and reliably. Alex graduated from the University of Waterloo with a BSE in Software Engineering.
