Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Speakers Series hosted by the Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business.
The Conrad School is hosting a lunch hour Speakers' Series as part of the annual Global Entrepreneurship Week 2019 global awareness and celebration. Please join us to network and hear 20-minute presentations covering entrepreneurship topics. Lunch will be provided.

Now, a technology developed at the University of Waterloo, is making apparel production more sustainable by reducing the amount of water needed from 2700 litres to less than 100 litres.
Join us for a demonstration of this transformational technology and see how clothing manufacturing can take a step towards a more sustainable future.

Teams have each chosen an important industry problem, and will now pitch their research to a panel of judges for a chance to win up to $30k in grant funding. The 5-minute pitches will demonstrate each competitor’s knowledge of their problem’s history, scope, and impact.

During this Office Hour, Omer Qadri (BASc 2011, Electrical Engineering) Workshop Designer & Facilitator at the MAX Youth Fellowship Program, will talk about his career so far; what makes life fulfilling and how he worked towards discovering his "calling". He will elaborate on a big problem he is striving to solve in the field of education, focusing on underprivileged youth. Abstract

The University of Waterloo School of Architecture will mark the fortieth anniversary of its Rome Programme with a four-day celebration that will allow alumni to recall their time in the eternal city and experience some of the many changes that have taken place recently. The events take place in Rome starting with a reception at the Waterloo Studio on Wednesday October 30, finishing with a gala dinner on evening of Saturday November 2. In between you can select tours to Tivoli and walks in Rome, as well as a symposium, a concert and an evening reception on a terrace overlooking the Imperial Fora. We are expecting a large crowd and do have limited capacity in some events, so please book early and choose the events you wish to attend.
