The University of Waterloo School of Architecture will mark the fortieth anniversary of its Rome Programme with a four-day celebration that will allow alumni to recall their time in the eternal city and experience some of the many changes that have taken place recently. The events take place in Rome starting with a reception at the Waterloo Studio on Wednesday October 30, finishing with a gala dinner on evening of Saturday November 2. In between you can select tours to Tivoli and walks in Rome, as well as a symposium, a concert and an evening reception on a terrace overlooking the Imperial Fora. We are expecting a large crowd and do have limited capacity in some events, so please book early and choose the events you wish to attend.

Chair Discrete, Optimization and Logistics Institute of Operations Research at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Karlsruhe, Germany - Dr. Stefan Nickel will be discussing his paper, 'The Day After Optimal: Operations Research for Modern Logistics'.

As part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series Professor Kathryn Furlong will present: Water’s big infrastructure: From debt-led development to financialization.

Through interactive exercises and discussions, the Men’s Circle Workshop will explore some of the ways in which men can become leaders in creating a safer campus for everyone.

A Douglas Utting Postdoctoral Fellow at Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Dr. Maxwell Ramstead will be discussing his paper, 'Active Inference Across Scales: From the Brain to the Body and Culture'.

Waterloo Engineering alumni living or working in the greater Toronto and surrounding area are invited to an after-work reception at the Wish offices in Toronto. Speakers include Wish CEO and Co-founder Peter Szulczewski, with campus updates from the University of Waterloo.

GreenHouse will be hosting a Health Discovery Lab that will focus on improving the quality of lives of the aging population with health challenges. GreenHouse is a community for innovators who want to create social or environmental change.
