Future applicants, their family members and guidance counsellors are invited to join Waterloo Engineering on Thursday, March 4 from 6-7 pm ET for a webinar about preparing for an engineering education, our programs, and the process of applying to Engineering at Waterloo!

We’re extremely excited to invite students to this year’s Global Spark Thought Leader Panel: Innovation in Global Health.

The panel will be held on March 6th at 11am EST, and will feature three phenomenal speakers:  Dr. Andrew Trister, Head of Digital Health Innovation at The Gates Foundation, Jim Larson, Managing Director & Partner and Expert on Global Health at BCG, and Maureen Lewis, the CEO of Aceso Global and the former Chief Economist of Human Development at the World Bank. The panel will be moderated by Natasha Walji, a Director at Google Canada and one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women.

The event will include a performance, a keynote address and a panel of some of our most formidable thinkers in celebration of Black History in Canada and those trailblazers making history right here at Waterloo. 

WatCO and Evercloak: Commercializing the intellectual wealth at the University of Waterloo.

Waterloo Engineering students and alumni are invited to participate in an exclusive virtual Office Hour with Waterloo Engineering alumnus Travis Ratnam (BASc ’06, Electrical Engineering), Co-Founder and CEO of Knowledgehook.

During this Office Hour, Travis Ratnam will talk about his journey creating and expanding Knowledgehook, including how he went from recent grad to co-founder and CEO. Join fellow alumni and students for this virtual office hour to hear Travis’ story, his lessons learned and his tips for entrepreneurs.

Future students are invited to join us for a Waterloo Admissions Webinar to ask questions and learn everything you need to know about the application process for the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo!

Waterloo Engineering students and alumni are invited to participate in an exclusive virtual Office Hour with Waterloo Engineering alumnus Paul Craven (BASc 1984, Systems Design Engineering), President of Responsive Brands, who will discuss “The Science Behind Selling: How One Engineer Went from Hating Sales to Loving Sales”.

To remember and celebrate the incredible contributions made to the University of Waterloo by Pearl Sullivan, former dean of engineering and the first woman to hold the position, we will be hosting an online celebration of her life for our internal University community.

In the time of physical distancing during a global pandemic, our annual ski day will consist of a lift ticket offer but not a full alumni event. Osler Bluff Ski Club has generously extended lift tickets to Engineering and Science alumni for one day only. 

Future undergraduate engineering students are invited to join us for an admissions-focused webinar that will focus on the admissions process and cover topics like how to apply, tips for your Admissions Information Form (AIF) and more!

Our panellists will include our Director/Associate Director of Admissions as well as current students who successfully went through the process themselves.
