Everything You Wanted to Know About 5G but Were Afraid to Ask
The fifth generation of technology for cellular networks, also known as 5G, is poised to change the way we connect and communicate: with other humans, with machines, and how machines communicate with each other.

Waterloo Engineering students and alumni are invited to participate in an exclusive virtual Office Hour with Waterloo Engineering alumnus Rob Otway (BASc 1985, Civil Engineering), Executive Vice President Buildings West at Bird Construction, who will discuss “Follow Your Own Path”.

The 36th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Biomaterials Society is a conference hosted by the CBS on Hopin that brings together students, faculty, and companies interested in the field of biomaterials. There will be impressive plenary speaker talks, symposiums/workshops, and engaging activities for participants to attend.

Thanks to the rapid progress of additive manufacturing technology advancements and research, the biomedical industry is opening thrilling new frontiers that are dramatically improving patient outcomes. Now, with the ability to use ceramics, polymers and metallic materials in the additive manufacturing process, the range of customized implantable medical devices is poised to be greatly - and safely – expanded.

The Waterloo Engineering alumni class reunion in 2021 is taking place on June 5, 2021 at Alumni Weekend. The engineering Classes of 1961, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011 and 2016 are invited to campus to celebrate this milestone in their engineering career.
