EngSoc Scavenger Hunt

EngSoc Scavenger Hunt is a term long event where students find items or participate in events to collect points. It's a chance for people to get involved in the Engineering community and school-wide events. Just like the name would suggest, we are sending you on a gigantic scavenger hunt! In a worldwide race to find solutions to the COVID-19 pandemic, Waterloo Engineering professors and alumni are working on engineering a variety of unique solutions. Join us for this virtual webinar to learn about vaccine development and the complexities involved, portable and rapid diagnostic testing, and innovative ways of using imaging for screening and diagnosis.

Engineering alumni are invited to participate in an exclusive virtual Office Hour with Oscar Nespoli, design faculty member in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering.

During this Office Hour, Oscar will share the University of Waterloo’s newest certificate program for engineers: Applied Creativity at Work Certificate. This certificate in strategic design is for engineers, product designers and managers and advanced manufacturing professionals.  The three course program is designed to move participants from conventional rule-based design thinking to strategic thinking using novel and proven teaching methods.  You will be exposed to the world of creative design and deep problem understanding and how it can enhance your current work practices and outcomes.

The Associate Dean-International Office is looking for student-submitted photos that showcase global experience - pictures of food, cities, landscapes, a photo that evokes a memory and shows the perspective you'e gained through travel, study, and/or work abroad or across Canada.
