Ten student teams have practiced and perfected their pitches and are ready to compete at the finals! Join the audience for an exciting Concept $5K Finals where emerging student entrepreneurs pitch live for their share of $20K in funding. Each competitor has just 3 minutes to pitch their startup idea to a panel of esteemed judges.
To start the event, special guest speaker Marcelo Cortes, Co-founder and CTO of Faire, will sit down for a fireside chat with Jay Shah, Director of Startups at Velocity. Faire is a curated boutique wholesale marketplace connecting local retailers with emerging and established brands. They will discuss Marcelo's journey of turning his concept into a reality, and talk about his experience founding and running a company.
After the fireside chat, there will be a quick lunch break and then it will be time to dive back into the pitches! Audience members will have the chance to network with all ten finalists after the winners are announced.
