DESCRIPTION:Wickedness is a defining feature of the most challenging social
 \,\necological\, and economic challenges we face. Wicked problems are\ninh
 erently incomplete\, contradictory\, and uncertain but they are not\nbeyon
 d the scope of design and intervention. In this talk we will\noutline comp
 lex systems\, how they differ from simple and complicated\nsystems\, and w
 hat the implications of these differences are for those\nseeking to make c
 hange in the world.\n\nAbout the speaker\nDr. Sean Geobey is the Director 
 of the Waterloo Institute for\nComplexity and Innovation (WICI)\, Co-Direc
 tor of the Waterloo\nInstitute for Social Innovation and Resilience (WISIR
 )\, Academic\nDirector of the Masters of Economic Development and Innovati
 on (MEDI)\,\nand Associate Professor in Social Innovation and Social\nEntr
 epreneurship in the School of Environment\, Enterprise and\nDevelopment (S
 EED) at the University of Waterloo. His research is at\nthe intersection o
 f design thinking\, innovation systems\, and social\nimpact with applicati
