Waterloo Engineering students and alumni are invited to participate in an exclusive virtual Office Hour with Waterloo Engineering alumnus Raul Rupsingh (BASc '05, Computer Engineering), CTO of BookJane on "Seed to Series A: An Engineering Perspective on the Startup Journey"

During this Office Hour, Raul Rupsingh will talk about his career path from his time earning his BASc at the University of Waterloo, along his entrepreneurial journey at several technology startups, to where he is now as CTO of BookJane. Raul will take participants down his unique career path, the lessons learned along the way, and share his engineering perspective on the startup journey from seed to Series A. Biography

Raul Rupsingh is a seasoned startup entrepreneur and engineer with over 10 years of experience building and managing full Stack engineering teams at tech startups. Raul has years of expertise in mobile development, software architecture as well as privacy and security. He graduated with distinction from the Computer Engineering program at the University of Waterloo and then went on to do a degree in Medical Biophysics at the University of Western Ontario. After graduate school, Raul immersed himself in the startup world, and applying technology towards social innovation, online advertising, mobile gaming, and health technology at companies such as PointerWare Innovations, ContextLogic, Ignition Mobile, A Thinking Ape, Muse, Akira Health, Swift Medical and now at BookJane.
