Waterloo Engineering students and alumni are invited to participate in an exclusive virtual Office Hour with Waterloo Engineering alumni Jason Tham (BASc 2002, Systems Design Engineering), CEO of Nulogy, and Emily Shepherd (BASc 2019, Systems Design Engineering), Product Manager at Nulogy.
During this Office Hour, Jason Tham and Emily Shepherd will each talk about their unique career journey since graduating from the systems design engineering program, how they have come together in their career journeys to work at Nulogy, and how - despite graduating almost 20 years apart – they work together and collaborate to solve real-world problems in supply chain management. They will also talk about how the “systems thinking” they learned about during their undergraduate studies is still very alive and well and how they leverage it in their work. Biography
Jason Tham is a co-founder, CEO and brand ambassador for Nulogy. He is focused on corporate development, executive leadership, and understanding the evolving landscape of Nulogy’s clients. He is also on Nulogy’s board and is a frequently-requested speaker at events.
For more than a decade, Jason has led industry thought leadership with speaking engagements for the Contract Packaging Association, the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), among many others.
Jason draws from his experience in continuous improvement and packaging at Kellogg’s highly automated production facility, and in R&D, manufacturing and quality at Magna International. He graduated with a BASc (Hons) with a Management Sciences option from the University of Waterloo.

Emily Shepherd

Biography
Emily Shepherd is a product manager at Nulogy. She is responsible for identifying customer needs, outlining a product vision, and leading a team through the design and development of innovative software solutions that solve some of the most challenging problems within the global supply chain. Prior to joining the product management team at Nulogy, Emily began her career as a product designer at Nulogy, where she performed user research and UI/UX design to create and validate improvements to Nulogy's software applications.
Emily graduated from the systems design engineering program at the University of Waterloo in 2019 with a BASc with a Management Sciences option. During her time at uWaterloo, she discovered a passion for working collaboratively to build products that solve real-world problems through various co-op opportunities in the life sciences, customer marketing, and supply chain industries.
