During his talk, Rasmus Lerdorf will highlight his career path from graduating from Systems Design Engineering in 1993 to a stint in Brazil, to working at Yahoo! and then Etsy, where he currently holds the position of Distinguished Engineer. He will discuss how he invented PHP, why he made it open source, and his involvement in the project over the 23 years since its invention.
