TronCon 2020 ** CANCELLED **

Saturday, March 14, 2020 9:00 am - 1:00 pm EDT (GMT -04:00)

CANCELLATION UPDATE: TronCon 2020 is cancelled.

In order to mitigate the risks associated with the possible spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), this year’s TronCon to be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 is cancelled.

We apologize for the late notice of cancellation, but believe this decision is in the best interest of our students, faculty members and alumni.

Group of Mechatronics alumni

All Mechatronics Engineering alumni are invited to the Waterloo Engineering alumni event TronCon to connect with mechatronics engineering current students as well as fellow mechatronics classmates.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet the rest of the Tron family as you see demos of capstone projects from 4th year mechatronics students and hear amazing stories from a selection of speakers including Tron professors and alumni. This year’s event will mark professor William Melek, professor Jan Huissoon, and professor Pearl Sullivan moving on from their established roles as Director of Mechatronics, Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Chair, and Dean of Engineering respectively. On top of our usual Mechatronics alumni speakers, capstone project demos and alumni lunch (optional after the event), we will have the opportunity to give these wonderful professors a special shout-out and thanks for everything they have done for us and for the program.

Professor Mihaela Vlasea (BASc 2008, PhD 2014) and Fayez Khan (BASc 2008) are kindly hosting the event.

View the full agenda on the registration page - it's a full day of discovery. Registration and complimentary breakfast begin at 9:00 a.m (generously provided by the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering). The event is followed by an optional lunch for Tron alumni, location to be determined.
