Explore the world of vodka

This highly rated tutored tasting is an entertaining and educational exploration of the world of vodka. Experience the different styles while discovering the origins and history of vodka and the techniques of vodka making.

Katherine Koszarny Vellinga (BASc '92) and John Vellinga (BASc '91) with their two vodka brands: Zirkova and Slava

John Vellinga (BASc '91, Systems Design), President and founder of Slava and Zirkova vodkas and Dragon’s Den Viewers’ Choice Award winner, will be personally presenting the event. (His pitch to the Dragons is in the Youtube player below.) While at uWaterloo, John was EngSoc President and co-founder of the Waterloo Engineering Endowment Foundation. John runs the company with his wife, Katherine Koszarny Vellinga (BASc '92, Systems Design), who likes to joke that she's now a vodka baroness.
