Stephen M. Watt is Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Professor in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. Professor Watt’s areas of research include algorithms and systems for computer algebra, programming languages and compilers, mathematical handwriting recognition and document analysis. He is the recipient of numerous distinctions, including Doctor honoris causa from the University of the West (Romania), the J.W. Graham Medal in Computing and Innovation (Waterloo) and the Outstanding Innovation Award (IBM).

Kirsten Jack is a digital transformation and policy specialist who has worked with cities across the world as they adopt new technologies. She currently supports a range of international governments, the UK Foreign Office and the Department for International Development on smart city and technology policy, and is the London Mayor’s Cyber policy advisor. In this role she is leading development of London’s first Cyber Policy, guiding how the city supports businesses, the public sector and citizens in building a vibrant and cyber-secure economy, and a safe city for all.

Andy Morton is a Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Markets & Securities Services at Citi. He has been with Citi since 2008, and was previously head of the G10 Rates, Markets Treasury and Finance businesses and was responsible for the Markets Quantitative Analysis (MQA) function. Prior to joining Citi, Andy spent fifteen years at Lehman Brothers during which he held several positions including Head of European Fixed Income and Global Head of Fixed Income. Andy began his working career as an academic in mathematical finance. He is the co-author of the HJM interest rate model, a widely used framework for the valuation of interest rate derivatives. He earned a B. Math from University of Waterloo and a Ph.D. in Engineering from Cornell University.

Mahesh V. Tripunitara is a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Professor Tripunitara’s main research area of interest is information security and his projects involve both fundamental and applied aspects. He has completed work in authorization and access control, cryptographic key transport, secure payments, usable security, and security and reliability of computer hardware. Professor Tripunitara has written and published many papers including Securing Computer Hardware Using 3D Integrated Circuit (IC) Technology and Split Manufacturing for Obfuscation, which won the Best Student Paper award at the 22nd Usenix Security Symposium, and Least-Restrictive Enforcement of the Chinese Wall Security Policy, co-written with his Ph.D. graduate Alireza Sharifi, which won the Best Paper Award at the 18th ACM SACMAT.
