Alison Brooks (BES ’85 and BARCH ‘88, Arch) has been named Woman Architect of the Year by the prestigious Architects Journal, one of the top international architecture periodicals published in London, England. Brooks, who founded Alison Brooks Architects in London, was recently honoured as Outstanding Architect in England.
Hydro One has announced a new partnership with the University of Waterloo, Ryerson University, University of Ontario Institute of Technology and Western University to increase enrolment and career opportunities for female students pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Micaala Seth captured gold at 2013 University/College Squash Championship held the first weekend of March at the University of Toronto.The fourth-year chemical engineering student earned first place in the Women's Open after beating her opponent 3-0 in the finals.
Overall, the Waterloo Warriors team brought home two gold medals, one silver medal, and a bronze medal. The silver medal was won by Cameron Seth, who is a Waterloo math student and Micaala's brother.
