Please complete the following form to indicate your teaching preferences and any constraints that may affect your availability to teach.

Please remember that while every effort will be made to accommodate your requests, it may not be possible due to factors beyond departmental control. If a selection cannot be accommodated, the Chair will contact you directly.

Teaching Constraints

The university assumes instructors are available during the regular teaching week (M-F 8:30-5:30). Level 1 constraints on availability include documented medical accommodations, or documented religious, disability, or other Human Rights accommodations. Please note that all confidential Level 1 (medical/human rights) constraints should be directed to the Chair. Please email: englchair@uwaterloo.ca

Level 2 Constraint: Child/partner/elder care involving logistical or medical issues

Child care, partner care or elder care constraints will be honoured if possible. It is better to foresee and communicate these constraints than to have to change schedules after they have been set. Please list these constraints (days and times you cannot teach) here:

Level 2 Constraint: Regularly scheduled university/faculty meetings

If you have constraints based on regularly scheduled university/faculty meetings, list those (days and times you cannot teach) here:

Level 3 Constraint: Preferential requests (e.g. commuting)
