Alice Kuzniar Awarded the Hans-Walz Research Prize

Photo of Alice Kuzniar.Alice Kuzniar, University Research Chair and Professor of German and English, will be awarded the Hans-Walz Research Prize at a champagne reception on 1 December at the Robert Bosch Haus in Stuttgart for her work on the history of homeopathy.  The Birth of Homeopathy out of the Spirit of Romanticism was published by the University of Toronto Press in Spring 2017. The research for the book was generously supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the Lois Claxton Humanities and Social Sciences Research Fund, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.

About the Prize

The bi-annual Hans-Walz Research Prize is internationally recognized and supports research into the history of homeopathy. It is awarded by the Institute for the History of Medicine, which belongs to the Robert Bosch Stiftung (Robert Bosch Foundation), and is also supported by the Hans-Walz Foundation, a part of the Robert Bosch Foundation.

The Robert Bosch Stiftung has about 200 employees who manage around 800 internal and external projects a year, on average. Since its founding in the 1960s, the foundation has awarded more than 1.4 billion Euros (over $2 billion CAD) in grants.
