Waterloo English alumnus is new Parliamentary Poet Laureate

Waterloo alumnus and nationally celebrated writer George Elliot Clarke adds Parliamentary Poet Laureate to his long and illustrious post-graduation track record. Announced recently, his two-year appointment with Canada’s Parliament is dedicated to the promotion of writing and reading poetry in English and French for all Canadians.

Elise Vist from our Department of English Language and Literature has been featured in the University's news section called "Waterloo Stories". 

When Elise Vist entered the gaming world she felt she had to prove herself not just as a gamer - but as a woman in gaming.

English PhD candidate Elise Vist is one of the ten finalists to continue to the final round of the Three Minute Thesis Competition.  Come support her when she competes on March 27, 2014 from 2:30 to 4:00 pm in Hagey Hall (HH), Humanities Theatre.
