SERS is pleased to welcome Christine Barbeau as the new lecturer in the school starting September 1st.

Christine will be teaching 5-6 undergraduate courses throughout the year with her focus on teaching three spring block field courses within the school.

Director of the Environment and Business program, Jennifer Lynes and associate professor in the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability, Sarah Wolfe collaborated on a commentary published in today's Globe and Mail. In the piece, Lynes and Wolfe call on businesses, startups, NGOs and policymakers to avoid the pitfalls that lead to ineffective communication about the important issues of climate change and sustainability.

It’s been a year of firsts for School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability (SERS), Master’s student Cheryl who was runner-up in the University’s 2016 3MT competition and is now a Top 25 finalists in The Storytellers competition. “I’d never done anything like this before,” she laughs, “but I’d never done anything like the 3MT either. You just have to believe that you can do it.”

Every year, millions of people travel to Italy to enjoy Neapolitan pizza and authentic gelato. Jennifer Clapp also travelled to Italy for the food, but she didn’t go to eat it – she went to educate her students about it.
